Attending the press conference were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Viet Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, provincial level and central and local press agencies located in the area.

In 2012, in the difficult economic situation, the Provincial People's Committee focused on directing drastic, synchronous and effective solutions for direction and management; proactively and promptly removing difficulties for enterprises, effectively implementing solutions to stabilize the market, policies for new rural development... The economic growth rate of the province is estimated at about 6.63%; average income per capita reached 20.28 million VND, up 14.3% over the same period last year. Social security, culture, education and training, science and technology, environmental protection have made much progress; national defense, security, social order and safety continue to be ensured.... However, some targets did not meet the set plan and were lower than the same period such as: progress in implementing the new rural construction program; attracting investment; large basic construction debt....
The goals set for 2013 are: Improving quality, transforming the growth model; Mobilizing and effectively using resources; Strongly improving the investment environment, continuing to strive to promote sustainable production and business development to create momentum for implementing the goals of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2011-2015; ensuring social security and welfare, maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense, security and social order and safety.
At the press conference, the Department of Information and Communications also reported on the implementation results of Decision 99 of the Provincial People's Committee on state management of the press, information provision, information posting and broadcasting; information processing in 2012 and the tasks of implementing the Decision in 2013.

The opinions of representatives of press agencies at the press conference affirmed that in the past year, the Provincial People's Committee has made many innovations in management and administration, closely following practical issues; at the same time, it is recommended that the province should resolutely and thoroughly handle violations reported by the press...
