Provincial People's Committee inspects the progress of projects in the southern area of Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, October 19, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches worked with Vinh City People's Committee on the progress of projects in the south of the city: Vinh Tan Lakeside Urban Area, Le Mao Street Extension.
Before the meeting, the delegation conducted a site inspection. Currently, the site clearance progress is hindered because some households have not accepted the compensation price. The design of the project requires additional drainage ditches in the area. The delegation also inspected the current status of the drainage canal system in the southern area of the city. The drainage infrastructure in this area has many shortcomings, the diversion canal has a 28-meter bottleneck, the water tank of the pumping station is narrow, and is silted by sand, mud, and trash, making it ineffective. In addition, the construction progress of the projects is still slow, the construction design and connection of the lakeside housing project are not synchronized, causing flooding in this area during the rainy season.
At the working session with Vinh City, after listening to the opinions of leaders, units, departments, design consultants and investors, concluding the meeting, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested the City to focus on propaganda and mobilization and take enforcement measures when conditions permit, speeding up the progress of site clearance for the extended Le Mao road. Regarding the direction of handling the flooding situation related to the housing development project along Vinh Tan lake, Hanoi Housing Development Investment Company needs to coordinate with Vinh City People's Committee, design consultants and departments to have technical data, calculate carefully, from there come up with the fastest solution, reduce costs and ensure drainage of the project area and surrounding areas. He also directed the direction of relocating the cemetery to serve the construction of the extended Le Mao road. Solutions to control water levels, increase the efficiency of Vinh City's drainage system.
