The Provincial People's Committee worked with the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee delegation on fisheries.

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, July 1, the People's Committee of Nghe An province had a working session with the working delegation of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on the model of organization, management, exploitation of fishing ports, fishing wharves and fishing logistics service areas. Attending the meeting were Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Exploitation and Protection of Aquatic Resources, and the Nghe An Fishing Port Management Board.

At the meeting, Nghe An province introduced to the delegation the activities of Nghe An Fishing Port Management Board. Established in 2003, Nghe An Fishing Port Management Board is currently directly managing 3 ports and fishing wharves including: Cua Hoi fishing port, Lach Van fishing wharf (Dien Chau) and Lach Quen fishing wharf (Quynh Luu). In addition to basic works such as piers, inclined wharves, electricity systems, fresh water supply, wastewater collection, internal roads, management houses... built with state capital, direct fishing logistics services such as ice production, seafood processing, freezing and preserving seafood... are all invested by organizations and individuals. Thanks to that, up to now, the logistics service system has been invested to fill all 3 ports and fishing wharves, with no vacant space left. Meanwhile, the demand for renting space from businesses is still very large.

After listening to the introduction of the model of organization, management, exploitation of fishing ports, fishing wharves and fishing logistics service areas of Nghe An Fishing Port Management Board, Thanh Hoa province thanked Nghe An province for sharing its experiences in promoting the economic efficiency of the fishing industry. In the coming time, Thanh Hoa will pay more attention to supporting the development of the seafood exploitation industry, especially the offshore fishing fleet that both generates economic benefits and participates in protecting the sovereignty of the national sea and islands.
