Provincial People's Committee works with investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 10, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings on conducting research on the investment possibility of Thermal Power Plant Project 2. Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting, attended by leaders of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board.
At the meeting, the representative of the investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings proposed and wished to promote and prepare steps to study the investment possibility of the Quynh Lap 2 Thermal Power Plant Project. If approved by Nghe An province by signing a memorandum of understanding between the two parties, POSCO Vietnam Holdings will carry out some necessary procedures to submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is determined to implement the project.

| Provincial leaders requested investors to promptly complete procedures in accordance with regulations and the province will create favorable conditions for project implementation. |
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien welcomed the investment determination of the investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings and hoped that the project would be implemented soon. However, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings complete all necessary procedures, in accordance with the law so that Nghe An province can report in writing to the central ministries and branches.
The investor POSCO Vietnam Holdings stated that the group has now prepared a pre-feasibility report for the Quynh Lap 2 Thermal Power Plant Project, which is part of the overall power plan 7 approved by the Government. It is expected that by the end of September, the investor will present the pre-feasibility report to seek specific opinions from the leaders of Nghe An province and related sectors.
