UEFA awards Champions League qualification to the Europa League winner.
Today (May 24th), UEFA plans to announce the decision on which Europa League winner will qualify for the Champions League starting in 2015.

The Europa League winner will earn a place in the Champions League starting in 2015.
This decision will elevate the second-tier competition in the European Cup – the Europa League, where Chelsea recently won the title by beating Benfica 2-1 in the final. It's worth noting that both...ChelseaBoth Benfica and I were eliminated from the Champions League after finishing third in our group.
This new rule also means that England, Spain, or Germany could have five Champions League spots in the 2015/16 season if one of their representatives wins the 2014/15 Europa League and does not finish in the top four of their domestic league.
