Ukraine may supply gas to neighboring countries in the future
(Baonghean.vn) - US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry expressed confidence that in the future Ukraine will be able to supply its own produced gas to neighboring countries.

During a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, US Energy Secretary Rick Perry said that in the future Ukraine will be confident in supplying energy to neighboring countries, as Kiev is increasingly expanding its network of cross-border gas pipelines.
At the same time, according to Secretary Perry, increased access by energy suppliers to Ukraine's gas reserves will contribute to the growth of trade and increase gas supplies globally.
"Therefore, the United States strongly supports Ukraine's efforts to improve regional energy security," said Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.
Earlier in October, Politico reported that US Energy Secretary Rick Perry had asked Kiev to add Americans to the board of directors of Ukraine's state oil company Naftogaz. Accordingly, Mr. Perry himself had also provided the Kiev government with a list of candidates for the Naftogaz board.
Ukraine has stopped buying Russian gas since November 2015. Recently, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia is ready to directly supply gas that Ukraine currently imports from Europe. This will bring higher efficiency and benefit European partners in ensuring the safety of gas transportation. Ukraine has also considered Moscow's offer.
