"Ukraine conceals incident at Zaporozhye nuclear power plant"
According to Russian media, the Ukrainian government has worried its European partners by being forced to admit an incident at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after 10 regions of the country lost power.
The incident occurred on November 28, but was not announced until December 3 at a new Cabinet meeting of Prime Minister Yartseniuk.

Kiev said the incident was not serious and the release of radioactive material had been contained. However, the incident has raised concerns in the West about the possibility of a “second Chernobyl”.
According to regulations, the Ukrainian authorities must immediately notify the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of the incident at Unit 3 of the plant, which could lead to serious consequences.
However, Ukraine deliberately concealed this information. Ukrainian media did not publish detailed information about the scale of the incident. Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk later affirmed that "all measures will be taken to restore power".
The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is the largest in Europe with a capacity of 6,000 MW, while the capacity of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, whose disaster shocked the world, was 4,000 MW.
Zaporozhye was built in 1981 and currently accounts for half of the total electricity output of nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Due to the accident at the Zaporozhye plant, power outages occurred in Kiev region, the cities of Lvov, Chernigov, Kharkov, Poltava and many other places./.
