Previously, Kiev also unilaterally terminated the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Russia inAgreement on military-technical cooperation on maintaining specialization of enterprises and organizations involved in the production of military products, signed in 2000.
In fact, Ukraine completely stopped cooperation with Russia in the field of weapons and military technology in March 2014, and on June 16 of the same year, Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko completely banned cooperation with Russia in the defense industry.
Subsequently, agreements on military-technical cooperation and cooperation of defense enterprises and on the procedure for coordination of actions when exporting military products to third countries were canceled.
Relations between Kiev and Moscow have deteriorated significantly since 2014. Ukraine accuses Russia of illegally annexing the Crimean peninsula and supporting rebels in eastern Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly denied these accusations./.
