Ukraine claims to have 'buried Russia's imperial ambitions'
(Baonghean.vn) - At a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels (Belgium), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy declared that Kiev's European integration had "buried Russia's imperial ambitions".

Speaking at a joint press conference, President Zelenskiy stressed: "Ukraine's accession to the EU is the death of Russia's imperial ambitions. Moreover, it is a blow to Russia's totalitarianism, and a path to democratic changes in Russia and throughout the entire post-Soviet space."
For his part, Mr. Tusk stated that the EU will continue to promote the association agreement with Ukraine and will provide financial support to Kiev.
Earlier, President Zelenskiy shared his impressions of his first foreign trip as head of state, during which he met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Polish President Andrzej Duda.
According to Mr. Zelenskiy, the negotiations with Mr. Juncker took place in a friendly atmosphere. He added that the head of the European Commission promised to support Ukraine./.
