Ukraine and Russia conduct prisoner exchange under negotiated agreement
In a statement on Telegram, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration - Mr. Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said that the two sides had conducted a prisoner exchange in the Zaporizhzhia region, southern Ukraine.

According to Xinhua News Agency, on April 1, Ukraine and Russia conducted a prisoner exchange under an agreement reached during negotiations this week.
In a statement on Telegram, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration - Mr. Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said that the two sides had conducted a prisoner exchange in the Zaporizhzhia region, southern Ukraine.
The announcement stated that Russia had returned 86 Ukrainian soldiers, including 15 female soldiers.
The most recent direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place on March 29 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
After about four hours of negotiations, the Russian delegation returned to Moscow that evening, bringing with it Ukraine's written proposal for a "peace agreement" between the two sides.
This result is considered a significant step forward in the difficult negotiation process to end the conflict that has lasted more than a month in Ukraine.
Last week, Russia and Ukraine carried out the first prisoner exchange since Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24./.
