French National Front leader Marine Le Pen said the country would withdraw from NATO and the European Union, and the timing of its exit from the eurozone would be along with other countries.

"Frexit will be part of my policy," the politician said in an interview with the Greek newspaper Kiryakatiki Dimokratiya, after she confirmed her plans to run in the presidential election.

In her opinion, when France leaves the EU and the eurozone, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Greece and Cyprus should also take the same step. "It would be ideal if all the countries left on the same day as France, and I will try to convince them," Ms Le Pen said.

"People need to have the opportunity to vote for liberation from the slavery and blackmail of the technocrats in Brussels and the return of national sovereignty. The British have realized this and voted for withdrawal from the European Union, although, of course, they have never replaced the pound with the euro," said the leader of the "National Front" and candidate in the presidential elections in France.

The politician believes that the euro is not simply a currency, but a tool of blackmail. Le Pen said that if she becomes President, France will no longer be in NATO, because this organization is completely unnecessary.

"It was created when there was a threat from the Warsaw Pact and the expansion of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union no longer exists, and there is no Warsaw Pact either. Washington supports the existence of NATO to serve its purposes in Europe..", the politician declared.
