Candidate Biden accuses President Trump of serious abuse of power

According to Reuters and AP, former US Vice President Joe Biden, a potential Democratic candidate in the 2020 election, on September 21 called for an investigation into reports that President Donald TrumpTrump pressured his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate him and his son.

“This seems like a serious abuse of power,” Biden said in an angry speech during a campaign stop in Iowa. “To call a foreign leader who is seeking help from the United States, asking about me and implying certain things — this is outrageous.”

Former Vice President Biden accused: “Mr. Trump is using this because he knows that I will beat him like a drum, and is abusing the power and taking advantage of every element of the presidency to try to do something to smear me.”

“Mr. Trump deserves to be investigated,” Mr. Biden said. “He is violating every basic norm of a president.”
