When you come to Quang Son commune, Do Luong, and ask about Le Huu Phu, everyone feels sorry and sympathizes with him. (Baonghean)When you come to Quang Son commune, Do Luong, and ask about Le Huu Phu, everyone feels sorry and sympathizes with him. At only 15 years old, Phu is an orphan, and now he is the only one who has to go to school and fend for himself. However, Phu still has a strong belief that one day he will be successful if he can go to school.

Although the commune officials enthusiastically guided us, it took us nearly half an hour to get to Phu's house because the road was difficult and winding. The small two-room house was closed and deserted. Asking a few neighbors, we learned that for many days, Phu had rarely been home. In addition to going to school, Phu took advantage of his time to go to the fields to catch crabs and snails to sell to earn money to support his life.

Phu at his mother's altar.

Mr. Nguyen Ham Hung - a neighbor said: Phu and his mother had a hard time before, when his mother passed away, he had an even harder time, he had to take care of everything himself, everyone here was very concerned and sympathetic towards his situation... Taking advantage of the moment when the commune official was calling Phu back, he walked around the house and saw the lack of his mother's hand, the kitchen was cold, the dishes and chopsticks were thrown around, in the plastic bucket were a few small crabs that had not been sold yet crawling around.

Unable to have a normal life like his peers, when he was only 1 year old, Phu's father left and has not returned. Since then, mother and son have raised each other, but misfortune befell him when more than 3 months ago, his mother - Ms. Le Thi Duong (45 years old) fell seriously ill and passed away, leaving Phu alone and helpless. Born in 1997, Phu has finished grade 9 at Quang Son Secondary School. With his gentle, diligent and studious nature, he is loved by the neighbors and teachers.

Since the day his mother passed away, Phu's relatives and neighbors often came to encourage and help him with a bowl of rice, a potato, a cassava, a bunch of vegetables, or a kilo of rice. Phu said: "My mother passed away, so I had to do all the work myself. I studied and caught crabs to earn money, but now there are no crabs in the fields to catch. Life is full of difficulties, but my dream is to go to school every day, only then will I have a bright future."

It is known that Phu recently took part in the entrance exam to grade 10 at Do Luong 3 High School. The dream of going to school is a simple thing for many other children, but it is difficult for Phu. Hopefully, there will be kind hearts, sympathy and support from the community so that the poor orphan student can soon overcome his difficult circumstances and fulfill his mother's last wish before closing her eyes: "No matter how difficult it is, you must try to study to become a good person".
