Acacia seedlings for afforestation
(Baonghean.vn) - To serve the afforestation work, Yen Thanh Protective Forest Management Board has built a 1,500 m2 acacia nursery.
Ms. Vo Thi Nhat - nursery technician said: "The nursery is arranged in lots and plots suitable for each stage of seedling incubation, so each crop can incubate more than 100,000 acacia seeds, 100,000 acacia cuttings and to increase production value, at the same time help forest growers have high income from forestry, we have boldly introduced Australian acacia into production and promptly met the needs of people in the region".

The nursery of Yen Thanh Protective Forest Management Board has only 10 staff and workers, but in 2013, it nursed more than 1.5 million acacia seedlings and all of them were sold out. Thanks to the proactive acacia seedlings, it not only timely serves the afforestation work of Yen Thanh Protective Forest Management Board (in 2013, 680 hectares of new forest were planted), but also provides a source of high-quality acacia seedlings for people in the surrounding area.
