US Open: Wimbledon runner-up and del Potro stop
Sabine Lisicki, the runner-up of Wimbledon 2013, had to say goodbye to the US Open 2013 in the third round when she lost to Ekaterina Makarova after two sets with a score of 4-6, 5-7.
This defeat is truly a pity for the 16th seed, especially when she just wrote a dream story at Wimbledon - the third prestigious Grand Slam tournament of the year.
At that tournament, Lisicki went straight to the final and only lost to Marion Bartoli - a player who decided to retire.

In the fourth round, the third seed from Poland will face Ekaterina Makarova.
After the win, Radwanska shared: "I am so happywhen the victory was won. However, this was not an easy match."
"I like hard courts and I have had great results on this surface. I think that only by making mistakes I cannot get past the fourth round. So I will need to give my best to achieve my dream," the Polish player said, looking forward to his next match.
Also in this third round, young American tennis player Sloane Stephens continued to show impressive form, when she won 6-1, 6-3 against Jamie Hampton.
This easy victory will certainly create great motivation for Stephens in the fourth round - where she will likely face a very strong challenge named Serena Williams.
Earlier this year, Sloane Stephens created the biggest shock at the 2013 Australian Open with a stunning comeback to defeat her senior Serena.
Along with Radwanska and Stephens, other seeded players Li Na (seed number 5) and Angelique Kerber (8) also had easy victories to get tickets to round 4.

The Australian veteran defeated the 2009 US Open champion in five sets with the scores of 6-4, 5-7, 3-6, 7-6, 6-1. In the third round, Hewitt will face Russian player Evgeny Donskoy.
In contrast to the shock of del Potro, two top tennis players Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have made it to the third round of the US Open.
The US Open runner-up defeated Benjamin Becker 7-6, 6-2 and 6-2 while the defending champion overcame Leonardo Mayer in four sets with a score of 7-5, 6-1, 3-6 and 6-1./.
