Prioritize funding for environmental pollution treatment and some urgent projects
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 6, comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance and leaders of Departments, Bureaus, Institutes under the Ministry of Finance, leaders of the State Treasury of Vietnam had a working session with Nghe An province.
On the provincial side, the meeting was attended by comrades: Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.
At the meeting, comrade Phan Dinh Trac and comrade Ho Duc Phoc reported to Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on the results achieved in 2011, especially emphasizing the shortcomings and degradation of transportation, irrigation, and difficulties in capital sources for construction of works and projects in Nghe An province.
Currently, there are 965 projects under construction. Provincial leaders have proposed to the Ministry of Finance to support Nghe An in submitting to the Prime Minister for the two poor districts of Con Cuong and Quy Chau to enjoy the 30a policy, and to propose that Nghe An provide 400-500 billion VND in capital to pay for compensation and site clearance for the Vinh-Cua Lo Highway; to leave excess revenue from the central budget in 2011 for a number of projects; mechanisms and policies for economic development, border security and social security funding.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also recommended the Ministry of Finance to pay attention and support the allocation of capital for basic construction investment: The road connecting National Highway 1A to Cua Lo deep-water port, building breakwaters and access channels to Cua Lo deep-water port, Dong Hoi specialized port, supporting dredging the access channel to Cua Lo port to a depth of 7.5 m, building breakwaters along the coast from Binh Minh Square to Cua Hoi intersection, Cua Lo town; the project of connecting road from N5 Nam Cam Industrial Park to Do Luong - Tan 60 km; the coastal road from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) to Cua Lo is 85 km long, allowing the construction of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard 12 km long; upgrading and expanding the connecting road from Vinh city to Cua Hoi...
Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue and leaders of the Departments, Divisions and Institutes of the Ministry of Finance have acknowledged and resolved a number of recommendations from Nghe An province, in which priority will be given to capital sources for environmental pollution treatment and a number of urgent projects.
The working session also included the signing ceremony of the coordination regulations between the Ministry of Finance and the Provincial People's Committee on a number of contents: Coordination in developing estimates, implementing and settling provincial state budget revenue and expenditure; coordination in developing, amending and supplementing legal documents on policies and regimes related to finance and budget; Coordination in organizing, mobilizing staff, and managing within the sector; Training and fostering staff, providing information related to the activities of the Ministry of Finance, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, and disseminating policies and laws on finance and budget; Coordination in applying information technology in the field of finance and budget management.
