European Commission will cooperate with whoever becomes Ukraine's president
The European Commission (EC) will cooperate with any Ukrainian president, regardless of who wins the election, the EC's Vice President for Neighborhood Policy, Enlargement and Negotiations, Katarina Maternova, said on Friday.

“It doesn't matter whether Zelensky or Poroshenko wins, we will work with any president,” Maternova told Gromadske TV (Community Television).
However, Ms. Maternova noted that in the political sphere, Mr. Zelensky is not yet well known.
Presidential elections took place in Ukraine on March 31. According to data from the Central Election Commission, none of the candidates received enough votes to win in the first round. The second round will be held on April 21, with the first-round leader Zelensky and Poroshenko competing.
