Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province calls for support for people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Head of the Provincial Relief Committee, on behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, signed an open letter to agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside Nghe An province, calling for joint efforts to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Accordingly, recently due to the impact of storm No. 2, storm No. 3 and the circulation of storm No. 4, Nghe An province has continuously suffered heavy to very heavy rains, causing flash floods, landslides and widespread flooding, especially in the districts of Ky Son, Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Hoang Mai town, Tan Ky, Do Luong, Anh Son... causing serious damage to people's lives, property and state works.
To date, 8 people have died; 8,373 houses have been flooded (17,489 houses as of September 30, 2022); 1,392 households had to be evacuated; 40 houses suffered over 70% damage; 158 houses had their roofs blown off or were severely damaged; 292 houses were affected by landslides; 66 hamlets and villages were isolated; 3,971 households were cut off...
The pain of losing loved ones, the hardship of thousands of families forced to live in temporary conditions, hunger and cold due to property and houses being collapsed, washed away and flooded. More than ever, people in flood-affected areas are in dire need of the care and sharing of the spirit of “mutual love”, “helping each other” from organizations, individuals and the whole society.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity and the morality of "loving others as you love yourself" of the nation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province respectfully requests agencies, units, enterprises, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to be compassionate and responsible to the community, actively support and share difficulties to help local people quickly overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters, to quickly stabilize their lives.
The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Relief Committee pledged to help the affected people as soon as possible.
