The National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee works with the Department of Transport

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of August 27, the working delegation of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee led by Mr. Dinh Trinh Hai - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee had a working session with the Nghe An Department of Transport to inspect the progress of the project to expand and upgrade National Highway 1A through Nghe An. Attending the meeting was Mr. Le Dinh Tho - Deputy Minister of Transport.

ProjectThe expansion and upgrading of National Highway 1A through Nghe An has a main route length of 73.8 km, passing through Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu district, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Vinh city, divided into 5 projects, assigned to 4 investors. At this time, the site clearance work is being actively implemented. The total cost of site clearance is more than 1,069 billion VND, currently lacking 590.5 billion VND but in fact 37.5 km has been handed over. Currently, the construction units are constructing resettlement infrastructure for 130 households.

According to the plan, the site clearance will be completed by the end of March 2014, but investors all agree that due to a lack of capital for site clearance, the project's progress is not as expected.

Recognizing the efforts of the transport sector in general and Nghe An transport sector in particular in implementing the project to expand and upgrade National Highway 1A, the working delegation of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee will submit opinions to the National Assembly Standing Committee so that the National Assembly can soon approve the policy mechanism for this project.
