The National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee works with the Provincial People's Committee
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of February 25, the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, headed by Comrade Phung Quoc Hien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, had a working session with the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the implementation of local budget estimates and a number of issues related to the finance and budget sector. Also attending was Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee.
Working with the delegation on the provincial side were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Tan - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

At the working session, the provincial leaders and relevant sectors reported to the National Assembly Finance and Budget Committee's monitoring delegation on the implementation of the 2013 local budget estimate and the 2014 estimate; the 2012 local budget settlement; the results of the implementation of the conclusions and recommendations of the state audit for the period 2011 - 2013; the implementation of legal regulations on management and use of fees and charges; recommendations on amending the State Budget Law. The provincial leaders and relevant sectors also proposed a number of issues on amending the State Budget Law such as: Budget collection; Authority of the People's Council; Financial procedures and schedules; Decentralization of revenue sources and expenditure tasks among budget levels; Regulations on the contract mechanism for a number of sectors...

On behalf of the National Assembly Finance and Budget Committee's monitoring delegation, Comrade Phung Quoc Hien highly appreciated the results achieved in the province's financial and budget implementation in the past time. However, he also noted a number of issues that Nghe An needs to pay attention to, such as the need to effectively collect tax arrears, manage and control capital construction investment expenditures and other expenditures, and pay attention to the management of budget expenditures at district and commune levels.
