Trump's reputation 'recovers' after series of superstorms hit the US
US President Donald Trump's approval rating has rebounded to 40%, largely due to positive feedback on his response to a series of hurricanes in the US.
According to a poll conducted by SSRS for CNN (USA) from September 17-20, President Donald Trump's approval rating has risen back to 40%. He "scored" the most points thanks to his response to the recent superstorms that hit the US.

About 64% of Americans surveyed said they approved of the Trump administration’s response to the recent hurricanes, including two-thirds of independents. Among Republicans, 90% approved of Trump’s response. Democrats were evenly split on Trump’s response to the crises, at 44%.
But his foreign policy has not been universally popular. Escalating tensions with North Korea have raised concerns in the United States. Half of those polled said Pyongyang posed an immediate threat to Washington, up from 37 percent in April. About half also disapproved of Trump’s handling of North Korea, while his approval rating was 41 percent, little changed from August.
Notably, fewer Americans believe the crisis on the Korean Peninsula can be resolved through economic and diplomatic means, with only 43% of Americans saying they believe the crisis can be resolved through economic and diplomatic means, an all-time low for such a question. Meanwhile, 58% of respondents support military action if the US cannot achieve its goals with North Korea through diplomatic and economic efforts, up 20% from 2012. However, a majority (63%) emphasize that the US should only take military action if other countries support and join in, while nearly a third believe the US can act unilaterally.
Mr. Trump’s handling of economic issues also received mixed reactions, although the majority (63%) believed that the current US economic situation was quite good. Meanwhile, the approval rate for Mr. Trump’s handling of health issues remained very low, at 31%./.
