Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji begins visit to Vietnam
Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji led a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Party and State to Hanoi, starting a visit to Vietnam and attending the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
On the afternoon of August 31, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji arrived in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam.
Mr. Trieu Lac Te will attend the celebration, parade, and march of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; and co-chair the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress.
The working trip took place at the invitation of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong; Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Dang Khanh Toan; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Don Tuan Phong.

Accompanying Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji on his official visit to Vietnam were: Secretary General of the National People's Congress of China Liu Qi; Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of China Lou Jinjian; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei; Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Ma Hui; Deputy Director of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress of China Jie Ming; Deputy Secretary General of the National People's Congress of China Hu Xiaoli; Deputy Director of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Jinghai; Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of China Sun Zhenping; Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Zhao Zhiyuan; Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zong Rui; Deputy Director of the Central Security Bureau of the Communist Party of China Lu Xianchun; Cao Yi, Assistant to Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji.
This afternoon, Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji will attend a welcoming ceremony and hold talks with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. The two leaders will co-chair the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress.
Mr. Trieu Lac Te will have meetings with other key leaders of Vietnam and many other important activities. In particular, he will attend the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square.
Before the visit, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh said that the visit clearly demonstrated the mutual respect and strong political determination of the two countries in consolidating and deepening the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

The visit of the highest leader of the National People's Congress of China to Vietnam and especially the first time co-chairing with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam the meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China not only contributes to promoting cooperation in the legislative field, but also highlights the rich achievements in the foreign affairs and diplomacy channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people.
Thereby, consolidating a solid political foundation for cooperation in all fields such as politics-diplomacy, defense-security, trade, investment, science-technology, people-to-people exchange, etc., bringing bilateral relations to develop in an increasingly solid, stable, substantive and effective direction.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi said that the visit of Chairman Trieu Le Te is an opportunity for the Chinese Party and Government to send warm congratulations to the Vietnamese Party and Government on the occasion of the 80th National Day, demonstrating China's importance to the relationship between the two Parties and two countries and promoting the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future which is of strategic significance.
The visit demonstrates China's strong support and close affection for Vietnam; affirms a clear message of mutual support, together persevering on the socialist path, implementing the common perception of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, and building a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future of strategic significance at a new height.
