Transporting 160 kg of oxtail of unknown origin from Vinh City to Yen Thanh for consumption

(Baognghean.vn) - Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle contained 160 kg of oxtail, which the driver claimed to have purchased from Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city) and brought to Yen Thanh for sale, but could not present valid documents.

All 160 kg of oxtail discovered by authorities did not have valid documents.

The driver confessed to buying these oxtails from Vinh City to bring back to Yen Thanh to sell for profit.

At around 6:45 p.m. on March 28, while on duty at km 430, National Highway 1A, in Dien Thinh commune (Dien Chau), Dien Chau Traffic Police discovered a suspicious truck with license plate 37C-048.51.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that inside the vehicle were 8 sacks of pre-processed oxtail, preserved in ice, with a total weight of 160 kg. The driver declared his name as Tran Van Ngai (born in 1976, residing in Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district).

The driver could not present documents proving the origin of the goods and said he bought the oxtails from Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city) and brought them to Yen Thanh district to sell for profit.

The authorities made a record to seize the entire shipment and handed it over to the Dien Chau District Veterinary Station for handling according to the provisions of law.
