Transporting 700 kg of rotten meat from Nam Dinh to Saigon for consumption

(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau Traffic Control Station (Traffic Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police) has just discovered and seized a truck carrying 7 foam boxes containing 700 kg of animal meat that smelled bad and had unknown origin.

At 2:00 a.m. on December 23, 2016, at Km 418 QL1A in Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau), the working group of Traffic Patrol and Control Station 5.1 discovered a passenger car with license plate 18B - 103.97 with many suspicious signs, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection.

The slaughtered animals smelled bad.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was transporting 7 foam boxes containing 700 kg of slaughtered animal products that gave off a foul odor.

At the time of inspection, driver Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1981), residing in Hamlet 11, Hai Cuong Commune, Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province, could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods. The driver admitted that the goods were being transported by an unknown person in Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province to Saigon and that someone would contact him to receive the goods.

The working group made a record and handed over the evidence to Dien Chau District Collection Station for handling according to the provisions of law./.
