Ria Novosti reported that Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, said on television that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny should not talk to Western media about problems encountered at the front.

"If I were a general in the army, I would choose the information to share with the press, with the public, about what is happening at the front" - a representative of President Zelensky's office criticized.

At the same time, Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, said that General Zaluzhny's comments had "panicked" Ukraine's Western partners.

"I received a call from one of the offices of the leaders of one of the allied countries, they panicked and asked: What should I report to my leader? Is Ukraine really at a dead end? Is this the result that Zaluzhny wants to hear?" - Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva shared.

In addition, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine also said that the statements of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have raised many questions among the public of this country.

Earlier, in a commentary in The Economist, General Valery Zaluzhny admitted that the counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was stalemated, "mostly without deep breakthroughs", and that the country could not penetrate the Russian defense line without significant support in technology and weapons.

Meanwhile, Politico commented that General Zaluzhny's statement about the stalemate in the conflict is sparking debate in the US Congress about the possibility of increasing military aid to Kiev.

Politico noted that Republicans see General Zaluzhny’s statements as a reason to reconsider US support for Ukraine. According to Senator Josh Hawley, Zaluzhny’s outspokenness has “poke a big hole” in the Ukraine policy of the US President Joe Biden administration./.
