Still steady on the oars
(Baonghean) - There is a rather harsh reality for the teaching profession. That is, when there are many deviant behaviors and actions in society, contrary to good customs and traditions, especially among the young, people immediately blame the decline of social morality and trace the origin to the instability of the education sector. And everyone understands that blaming education is blaming those who hold the chalk.
It is this kind of simple, one-sided reasoning and attribution that has hurt the hearts of true teachers and made them inevitably feel sad for themselves and discouraged with the teaching profession. Of course, in all the corruption of society and the young generation, there is a part of the responsibility of the education sector and of those working in the education profession. But it cannot beblame them all. Besides the school, there is also society. And the development of human personality and morality in any direction is also influenced and influenced by society, not only by the school. It is true that, at present, the school environment is no longer as "absolutely sterile" as it used to be, and the dust of life has also stuck and soiled many podiums. But those cases are only a few, occurring in some places with limited land and crowded people in the city.
In the mountainous areas with many difficulties, teachers still have to travel through forests and streams to bring letters to build a bridge to the future for their students. No one gives them gifts, envelopes or bribes! On the contrary, the teachers' limited salaries have to be shared with poor students so that they have the strength to go to school and class every day. In other villages, those who hold chalk are in the same situation. And even in the bustling urban areas, there are still many teachers who have devoted their entire lives to the cause of "cultivating people". Why are those good deeds rarely mentioned, rarely supported and encouraged by people? Every time I go online or open the newspaper, I see too many not-so-good stories about the teaching profession, teachers, with a way of reporting and telling stories that is not very sympathetic. Clearly, society today has a very unfair view of the teaching profession.
If we consider the teaching profession as a ferryman crossing the river, from one class to another, one generation to another, then the past and present are the times, the stages when the ferryman is having to endure many storms and tempests on the river of life. But I hope that those who work in the teaching profession "Do not let the waves make you give up rowing", more than ever, this is the stage when those who hold chalk need to clearly demonstrate the qualities and qualities of a teacher, continue to shine the personality of a teacher holding chalk. The current society is in great need of that personality to gradually push back the moral decline and still believe that teachers always know how to overcome all difficulties and obstacles to keep a steady hand on the rowing.
