Oil prices continued to climb on concerns about tight supplies and rising demand, analysts said. Oil prices surged on speculation that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, known as OPEC+, will maintain a production cut agreement until the end of 2023.

Some information said that Russia is planning to extend the oil export production cut into October. Along with that, analysts predict that Saudi Arabia will extend its commitment to voluntarily cut production by 1 million barrels/day into October. This increases market concerns about shrinking supply.

In addition, U.S. crude inventories fell by 10.6 million barrels last week, driven by strong exports and refining demand. The decline was more than three times the 3.3 million barrel decline expected by analysts in a Reuters poll. The data showed strong U.S. oil demand, supporting oil prices.

The high price of crude oil will affect domestic gasoline prices in the upcoming adjustment period.
