(Baonghean) -Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the sound of lion dance drums always resounds, multiplying the joy of beloved childhood. But there are still unfortunate lives, difficult circumstances that lack joy and excitement... In order for poor children to have a warm Mid-Autumn Festival, all levels, sectors, and philanthropists have joined hands to share, help, and bring them the loving moon...
On the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2013, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, sent a congratulatory letter to the children with his warmest feelings. The letter expressed his love and gratitude to the children for studying hard, practicing, playing healthily, loving and helping each other, being filial to their grandparents and parents, and respecting their teachers. In particular, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was also very happy because "... The children facing difficult circumstances have the will and determination to strive to rise up, achieving excellent results in studying and practicing, becoming a shining example of overcoming difficulties for many friends of the same age to follow...".
To have a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, in addition to the gifts from government leaders at all levels, there are many charitable gifts from Bac A Bank and TH Group, Prudential Insurance Company for poor students in mountainous districts of Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Thanh Chuong; humanitarian centers, and loving homes across the province...

In recent days, the Provincial Children's Fund has received many gifts from kind-hearted people. These are bicycles for poor students with good grades, wheelchairs for disabled children, hundreds of scholarships... The Provincial Children's Fund alone has 190 million VND with 240 gifts, 70 bicycles and wheelchairs. Teacher Pham Thi Thuy Trinh (Rehabilitation Area - Provincial Children's Fund) and her colleagues are quickly and carefully packing the bicycles and wheelchairs to prepare to send to Mid-Autumn Festival spots for disadvantaged children. She confided: "As a teacher who guides disabled children, on this occasion, being able to personally help deliver practical gifts to disadvantaged children, our hearts feel less sympathy. The children in remote areas, the children in difficult circumstances have more joy, and we feel more joy."
At Hien Luong Social Protection Facility (Tho Thanh Commune - Yen Thanh), the children were able to break the cake and receive Mid-Autumn Festival gifts earlier than their friends. Nguyen Thi Huong, 12 years old, who is in extremely difficult circumstances, just received an emotional gift: "I wish every Mid-Autumn Festival I could get gifts and eat candy like this year. And also have the aunts and uncles come to visit. I am so happy."
At the Vocational Training Center for the Disabled (Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City), the moon-watching ceremony and gift-receiving ceremony also took place in a cozy atmosphere. Looking at the children's joy and happiness, we could not help but be moved. Each child has a different situation, some have a physical disability, others have a hearing or speech disability or a deformity... but all are filled with joy. Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival is the same everywhere, but the way the children here express and receive that joy is somewhat different, because the deficiencies they have to bear are now compensated by kind hearts, the age of moon-watching has brightened up again in each clear eye. Le Hong Quang, who has a physical disability and cannot stand on his own legs, still tried to talk: "I am very happy to attend the Mid-Autumn Festival, there are many friends to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with, including Uncle Cuoi and Sister Hang. I also joined in singing. This is the first time I have participated in such a fun program."
This year, in addition to the above-mentioned addresses, kind-hearted people also brought Mid-Autumn Festival to the children at the Children's Support Facility - Nghe An Children's Support Fund, Provincial Social Work Center (Luu Son commune, Do Luong); to the children of My Ly commune of Ky Son border district; to the children in Ban Ve resettlement area in Thanh Son commune (Thanh Chuong), SOS Children's Village Vinh...
