Stealing steel from construction site, threatening to slash security guard
(Baonghean.vn) -Hung Nguyen District Police have just urgently arrested Nguyen Van Hieu and Le Van Ca (both 18 years old), residing in Hung Linh Commune to investigate the act of property theft.
Hieu and Ca dropped out of school early, had no jobs, and liked to hang around. To have money to pay for their entertainment, they discussed stealing. They noticed that some traffic and bridge construction sites in Hung Nguyen district were often left open at night, with few security guards while a large amount of steel was gathered, so they discussed stealing.
After a few successful “stealing” trips, on the night of April 5, they continued to break into the camp of a limited liability company that was constructing a bridge in Hung Linh commune to steal steel. When they saw the security guard coming out to stop them, they loudly threatened to slash them and boldly declared “give me some iron bars” before leisurely carrying the construction steel and leaving.
The incident was reported to Hung Nguyen District Police. Realizing that the situation was very serious, affecting local security and order, causing damage to construction units, Hung Nguyen District Police leaders immediately took action to arrest the perpetrators of these daring robberies.

Just four days after committing the steel theft and threatening the construction site security, Nguyen Van Hieu and Le Van Ca were summoned by the police and questioned. Initially, both denied any involvement in the thefts. However, faced with the investigators’ strong evidence, both men bowed their heads and admitted their guilt, admitting that they had committed the thefts with several other young men.
Currently, Hung Nguyen district police are expanding the investigation and hunting for those involved in the incident.
