On the purchase and sale of goods at stable prices during the Lunar New Year
(Baonghean.vn) - Our country's inflation rate in 2011 is quite high (about 20%) compared to recent years. Almost every year, many essential goods will increase in price during the Lunar New Year.
Especially this year, some items are always at a high level called "ceiling" at the end of the calendar year without decreasing. So, by the time of Lunar New Year, from that "ceiling" price, it will climb to another higher "ceiling", if the inflation control measures are not effective. In recent years, many localities have supported interest rates for businesses to buy goods to stabilize prices during Tet to serve the people, but how much the people benefit is difficult to know specifically?!
This year, our province plans to allocate tens of billions of dong from the budget to support interest rates for some units that purchase goods for business reserves in order to stabilize prices, so that people can celebrate the Year of the Dragon with less difficulty. However, not everyone knows where to buy goods at stable prices, and whether or not they can actually buy at a "stable price" is another matter (because last year there were places that sold stabilized goods at higher prices than non-stabilized prices!).
In order for people to enjoy the benefits from the State budget, in my opinion, the following aspects should be noted:
- Relevant State management agencies are responsible for checking the prices of essential goods before Tet to have measures to check and control units that are granted interest rate support by the province for loans to buy goods in order to stabilize prices to serve the people and ensure the quality of goods.
- Widely announce the points and stores selling "stabilized" prices so that the majority of people know and buy, especially people in mountainous areas, ethnic minorities, and rural areas.
- After Tet, we should organize a review of the interest rate support fund to evaluate whether the capital has practically improved people's lives during the traditional Tet holiday or not, to avoid the loss of the State budget without the people enjoying it...
Hopefully, all levels, sectors and units will be responsible and do a good job of implementing the above mentioned issues for the people. Hopefully, when our people shop for Tet goods this year, prices will not fluctuate too much!
