According to VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, after the AFF Cup 2022 ends, VFF will select candidates to replace coach Park Hang Seo. Through the advice of the National Coaching Council, VFF will approach a number of candidates before choosing a suitable successor coach.

After the AFF Cup 2022, Coach Park Hang Seo will leave the Vietnam national team. Mr. Park also announced this decision 2 months ago. Regarding the selection of the successor coach of Mr. Park in the Vietnam national team, Vice President of VFF - Tran Anh Tu said: “Since Mr. Park announced his farewell to the Vietnam national team, VFF has promoted the search for candidates. Currently, VFF has been screening the profiles of suitable candidates. After the screening stage, some profiles will go through the Advisory Council of Coaches. From there, the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee will approach a few candidates. The most suitable candidate will be signed a contract by VFF”.
