VFF completes personnel structure in term VII

On the afternoon of March 31, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) term VII held its first meeting to introduce the position of General Secretary, complete the personnel structure and approve tasks in the coming time.

The Executive Committee unanimously recommended Mr. Le Hoai Anh to hold the position of General Secretary for the 7th term, replacing Mr. Ngo Le Bang. Mr. Le Hoai Anh, born in 1971, is currently the Chief of VFF Office, Member of the Youth Football Committee of the Asian Football Confederation. He graduated from the University of Physical Education and Sports, Foreign Language Pedagogy and has a lot of experience in management as well as foreign affairs at VFF.

Mr. Le Hoai Anh said: “The new job as General Secretary will be very heavy and stressful. However, because I have worked for many years in management at VFF and am fluent in foreign languages, I believe I will do well in the assigned tasks, especially in foreign affairs.”

To complete the functional committees, the VFF Executive Committee has assigned tasks to each member. The most important committee of the 7th term is Finance and Fundraising, which is assigned by the Executive Committee to two VFF Vice Presidents: Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc as Head of the Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan as Deputy Head of the Committee.

Meanwhile, the Arbitration Board, which left a lot of "public opinion" in the previous term, will be headed by Mr. Nguyen Van Mui as Head of the Board and Mr. Duong Van Hien as Deputy Head of the Board.

Responding to the press after the conference, VFF President Le Hung Dung said: VFF will closely monitor the organization of referees in the coming time. Any referee involved in negativity or suspicion of negativity will not be assigned tasks.

If Vietnamese referees cannot meet the requirements, VFF is willing to hire foreign referees from Thailand, Malaysia... to ensure fairness and transparency in tournaments.

In addition, other functional departments of VFF have also been completed:

- Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien holds the position of Head of Strategy Department.
- Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan is Head of Professional Football and Club Licensing Department.
- Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Member of AFC Futsal Committee, as Head of Futsal Committee.
- Mr. Phan Anh Tu: Head of Women's Football Department.
- Mr. Le Nguyen Hong: Head of Grassroots Football Department.
- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Gu, Vice President of VFF: Head of External Communications Department.
- Mr. Le Quy Phuong: Head of Sports Medicine Department.
- Mr. Duong Vu Lam: Head of Player Qualifications Committee.

Also at the Conference, the VFF Executive Committee set out tasks for 2014 and the most important goal is to successfully organize events hosted by Vietnam this year: Asian Futsal Finals, Asian Women's Football Championship Finals, Southeast Asian U19 Football Championship, Southeast Asian Football Championship group stage./.
