VFF "cautiously" sets the goal of Vietnam National Team winning the AFF Cup 2014

“I think that the Vietnam national team, like other opponents, all aim to win the AFF Suzuki Cup this year. This is always the desired destination of any team. However, we should not forget the careful preparation process of the VFF as well as the spirit of the players on the field, instead of just focusing on the results,” the VFF General Secretary shared when asked about the specific goals of the Vietnam national team at the upcoming regional tournament.
As if to "support" Mr. Hoai Anh, Vice President in charge of communications and foreign affairs Nguyen Xuan Gu also affirmed that the national team has had the best preparation compared to its opponents for the upcoming tournament held at home.
Specifically, coach Toshiya Miura and his team have undergone training in Japan as well as had 4 friendly matches to test and test the squad with foreign teams. According to Mr. Gu, the Vietnamese team is completely ready for the journey to conquer the gold cup at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 - although sometimes careful preparation does not mean that the home team will be crowned champion.
In addition, Mr. Le Hoai Anh also refused to reveal the bonus amount that VFF will give to the Vietnamese national team if they complete the goal of winning the championship at this year's Southeast Asian Championship because he wants to avoid unnecessary pressure on the players on this "sensitive" issue.
