VFF requests to move the match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Brunei to 2:00 p.m.

The Vietnam Football Federation has sent a dispatch to the organizing committee of the 26th SEA Games men's football event requesting to change the match schedule of U23 Vietnam - U23 Brunei from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on November 11.

Citing the excuse of not wanting any events to coincide with the opening ceremony, the Indonesian organizing committee made an unprecedented decision in the history of the SEA Games: moving a football match, specifically the match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Brunei, from 7pm to 8am.

The decision to choose such a time is completely contrary to the schedule and living habits of the football teams. If the match is at 8am, U23 Vietnam will have to wake up early at 4am to prepare and must be present at the stadium two hours before the match to complete the required inspection procedures.

To resolve the issue, Vietnam has officially responded to the decision of the organizing committee. In particular, VFF has sent a dispatch requesting the organizing committee to postpone the match to 2 p.m. to ensure the professional quality of the match and limit the impact on the players' biological rhythm. At the same time, VFF has also contacted the Brunei Football Federation to ask them to support this proposal of Vietnam.
