For the peace of the homeland sea
(Baonghean) -In response to the need to protect the sea and islands, officers and soldiers of Border Guard Station 152 stationed in Dien Thanh Commune - Dien Chau always attach importance to professional activities and combat readiness, in order to ensure safety and control of the border area.
Taking advantage of the time when fishing boats docked to repair fishing equipment, the Mass Mobilization Team of Border Guard Station 152 went directly to each fishing boat to meet and exchange information about the fishermen's business at sea, as well as about the security situation of the coastal border. At the same time, officers and soldiers propagated and provided fishermen with some basic contents about the National Border Law, agreements, regulations on fishing areas and the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party and State on the issue of sovereignty over seas and islands.... Having been propagandized, mobilized and clearly understood the policy of ensuring safety and mastery of the sea, fishermen all voluntarily participated as the "eyes and ears" on the spot for the border guards. Thanks to being close to the people and sticking to the grassroots, since the beginning of the year, the station has received 60 valuable reports from fishermen about the security situation at sea and has been promptly handled by the authorities. Fisherman Nguyen Duy Ha in Dien Ngoc commune said: “The border guards came to our boats to inform us about fishing in the right area. If we had any difficulties at sea, we would call or use walkie-talkies to the border guards to handle the situation. The coordination between the border guards and the fishermen is very close.”
Border Guard Station 152 practices for patrolling at sea
Along with weekly dispatch of soldiers directly to go out to sea on fishing boats to monitor the situation, the station pays special attention to patrolling at sea. Through the self-managed security network at sea, the station has a firm grasp of the situation and has timely measures to handle it. Thanks to that, in the past few years, the situation of foreign ships entering the territory under the station's management has almost never happened.
Along with strengthening the management of territorial waters, the station regularly conducts strict inspections of boats from the estuary, which has led to the detection and handling of dozens of cases of fishing with explosives and smuggling at sea. Over the past two years, the station has satisfactorily resolved over 40 cases of fishing ground disputes. In response to the requirements of protecting the maritime border in the new situation, Border Guard Station 152 has continuously trained to improve its political capacity and is ready to fight in all situations. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Giang - Political Commissar of Border Guard Station 152 said: To strengthen the protection of the sea and islands, the Party Committee and Command of the station have met to discuss and agree on the implementation of plans, organize military training, and continuously improve the knowledge and tactical skills of officers and soldiers. The station also coordinates with local authorities, especially owners of offshore fishing boats, to propagate patrols at sea, promptly detect strange ships and objects entering Vietnam's waters, especially Dien Chau waters.
