On the afternoon of October 8, information from the Buon Ma Thuot City Traffic Police Team said that they had handed over 2 subjects (identities unknown) to the Buon Ma Thuot City Criminal Police Team to investigate and clarify the act of "Resisting people on official duty".

Lieutenant Thuong was injured by two attackers at the scene.

Previously, at around 10am the same day, a working group of the Buon Ma Thuot City Traffic Police was patrolling and controlling on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, Khanh Xuan Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City when they discovered two subjects moving on a motorbike at high speed. Notably, the subject driving in front let go of both hands, so the working group used a specialized vehicle to chase after him.

The two subjects were arrested by local people and police immediately afterwards.

When they saw the police chasing them, the two men turned into a small alley to escape. Seeing this, a passerby used his car to block the road, making it impossible for the two men to move.

At this time, Lieutenant Huynh Minh Thuong and a teammate drove up and asked to check the documents, when suddenly two subjects rushed in and beat Lieutenant Thuong, injuring him.

After assaulting Lieutenant Thuong, the two subjects tried to escape by car but were arrested by the people and the police force, handed over to the investigation agency for handling. Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by Buon Ma Thuot City Police.
