This is the opinion of Colonel Rustam Saifullin, Hero of Russia, Deputy Director of the Tyumen Higher Military Technical Command School, shared in an interview. "It can be said that part of the Ukrainian armed forces were trained in NATO countries, let's assume so. But in all NATO textbooks and how NATO trains them, it is a sin to hide the fact that NATO is used to fighting armies that are not equipped with weapons like our army, like the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, all their principles and methods fail, that is what we are witnessing," Mr. Saifullin said.
According to Saifullin, when artillery is active, when aircraft are active, when such vast territories are mined, when armored forces are so powerful, NATO's textbooks become ineffective. "And we immediately see the results - what this leads to. It leads to huge losses, first of all in terms of manpower (of Ukrainian soldiers), and then in terms of weapons and military equipment supplied," the officer added.
Colonel Saifullin was wounded twice during the special operation, he commanded the 40th Engineer Regiment of the 41st Combined Army. For his courage and heroism in carrying out combat missions, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia.
