Why Messi has to play the Clasico despite being injured

But according to AS, a newspaper close to Real Madrid, Adidas has officially dispelled any doubts about Messi's return this Saturday. "Barca's talisman will participate in the classic of Spanish football, wearing the new Messi15 boots," AS wrote.

This new shoe is considered the most improved Messi-branded product ever.

Messi has returned to training but many believe it would be risky to play him this weekend. The Argentine striker suffered a knee injury in the match against Las Palmas on September 26. The initial diagnosis is that he will not recover in time to play in El Clasico on November 22, at the Bernabeu.

Barca have gone nearly two months without Messi, but the team has still performed well. Neymar and Suarez have been in fine form to help the Catalan club top La Liga, three points clear of Real Madrid ahead of this weekend's clash. The two attackers have contributed 18 of the 21 goals the Nou Camp side have scored since Messi's absence.

Coach Luis Enrique plans to wait until the end of Thursday to finalize the starting lineup for the decisive match against Real.
