Why is Ngo Thanh Van still being criticized for apologizing for posting false news about corona?

Accordingly, on the morning of January 31, Ngo Thanh Van's Fanpage posted a status stating that up to now, Vietnam still has flights from Wuhan (China) - the "corona outbreak".

The actress wrote: "I heard you said that on Wednesday night, early Thursday morning, there were still direct flights from Wuhan landing in Vietnam. Why? Haven't we stopped them already? It's too dangerous. Stop them. We have to protect our people and our children, right?". Along with that, the "action girl" also posted an image recording the list of flights from other cities in the world to Vietnam, including Wuhan.

But in fact, since January 26, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has stopped licensing flights from Vietnam to Wuhan and vice versa, except for 4 exceptional flights bringing Wuhan citizens in Vietnam back to this city. Notably, all 4 flights above were disinfected according to regulations and had to fly empty when returning to Vietnam. Thus, it can be seen that the status posted by Ngo Thanh Van is completely false and the photo she shared is not true.

Immediately afterwards, many fans criticized the actress of "Hai Phuong" and said that she should have researched the information carefully before posting to avoid causing public confusion. "Listen to your friend again. Research clearly before posting", "It's true that you care about everyone, it's good, but I hope you will research everything clearly, because you are a public figure, so your words have influence, don't rush to conclusions and cause confusion for everyone", "Instead of posting unverified news like that, post measures to prevent the epidemic to protect yourself, your family and those who love you. What can you do if you cause confusion and anxiety? Please consider that you are a public figure before saying anything", ... are 3 of many comments under the actress's status.

Facing criticism from fans, Ngo Thanh Van quickly removed the above post and apologized for her false information. "Sorry everyone, I'm just anxious and worried about everyone's general health. Sorry for this mistake. Everyone, please take care of your health and be careful."

However, this apology from the actress of "Hai Phuong" still did not satisfy public opinion because many people think that she is a public figure, each statement has a great influence on the community and cannot be apologized for every mistake.

Notably, this is not the first time Ngo Thanh Van has been criticized for her statements on social media; in 2019, she was attacked by public opinion when she harshly criticized the American singer for not wearing long pants when wearing Vietnamese ao dai, even though in the past she herself had worn ao dai with exposed navel and no underwear.
