Commissioned by the “Communist Alliance”, on February 24, 1848, the Communist Manifesto drafted by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels was published to the world. The birth of this great work marked the fundamental formation of Marxism’s theory, which consisted of three components: Philosophy, political economy, and scientific socialism.
The Manifesto is presented in four chapters with very rich and concise content (Chapter I: Bourgeoisie and Proletarian; Chapter II: Proletarian and Communist; Chapter III: Socialist and Communist Literature; Chapter IV: Attitude of Communists towards Opposition Parties). At the end of the work is written the fighting slogan of the communists: "Workers of all countries, unite!"
The Communist Manifesto holds a particularly important position in the theoretical treasury of Marxism-Leninism. It is the first Platform document that sets out the goals, clearly indicates the forces, conditions and methods of struggle; is the compass guiding the actions of the entire international communist and workers' movement; is the flag leading the working class and working people all over the world to fight against the oppression and exploitation of capitalism, to advance to socialism and finally to communism. With that great significance, VILenin affirmed: "That thin book is worth thousands of books, its spirit still encourages and motivates the entire organized and fighting proletariat in the civilized world".

The Communist Manifesto is not only a temporary platform of the Communists, but it has a lasting and sustainable value. It not only determines the goals and ideals of building communism, abolishing capitalism, liberating the class, liberating people, not only outlines the revolutionary path and the key social force, the proletariat, to carry out that revolutionary path, but also concisely presents the scientific and revolutionary worldview of the proletariat, a great creation of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, based on the inheritance and development of the most advanced ideas of the time.
Faced with the changes and uncertainties of today's world, only by standing firmly on the thoughts and viewpoints of the Communist Manifesto and Marxism-Leninism can we correctly consider, clearly recognize the truth, resolutely maintain the revolutionary path, and continue to move human society forward.
The Communist Party Manifesto laid the ideological foundation for issues on the Party and the work of building the Communist Party. Those thoughts have very practical significance in the work of building the Party of our Party, especially when the Party is leading our people to carry out the process of innovation and international integration.

C.Marx and F.Engels discovered a historical truth: “It is not the consciousness of men that determines their existence; on the contrary, their social existence determines their consciousness.” |
In the work of Party building, our Party affirms that the issue of enhancing the nature of the working class is a consistent ideology in the work of Party building to ensure that the Party fulfills its leadership mission. The unity of the interests of the Party and the class - this ideology is the basis for policies to eliminate the Party's privileges and benefits.
In its revolutionary line, our Party has always thoroughly grasped and applied the core ideology of the Manifesto. The political report at the 12th Party Congress (January 2016), in the Party building section, clearly stated: “First of all, it is necessary to focus on building the Party politically. Firmly adhere to Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, creatively apply and develop them in accordance with Vietnam's reality; firmly adhere to the goal of national independence and socialism; firmly adhere to the path of innovation”.
For nearly 170 years, the ideas of the Communist Party Manifesto have remained relevant. The ideas and viewpoints on Party building in the Manifesto have always been the guiding principle in our Party's Party building work. All cadres and Party members need to "talk less and do more", "words must go hand in hand with actions". Only then can we achieve the goal of "a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, and steady progress towards socialism".
