The position of Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular is increasingly high in the international arena.
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the affirmation of comrade Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, Head of the delegation of Heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad for the 2015 - 2018 term at the working session on the morning of June 13 with leaders of Nghe An province.
On the provincial side, welcoming and working with the delegation were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches and enterprises.

Identifying investment promotion and attraction - including foreign investment - as one of the key directions to drive the province's socio-economic development, Nghe An pays special attention to establishing friendly cooperative relationships with countries around the world. On behalf of the delegation, comrade Nguyen Quoc Cuong highly appreciated the efforts and achievements that Nghe An province has achieved in diplomacy and foreign affairs in recent times. Foreign affairs events such as "Welcoming the traditional New Year to celebrate the year of the Goat 2015"; "Meeting with the diplomatic corps in the North Central region 2015"; "Meeting between Nghe An province and the Diplomatic Corps" not only demonstrated the province's capacity in organizing national and international foreign affairs events but also promoted the province's image and brand to international friends, promoted cooperation and attracted investment. He also affirmed that the Vietnamese Ambassadors and Consuls General abroad will continue to pay attention, create conditions and support in terms of information and connections for Nghe An province to expand and strengthen its partnership with countries around the world; ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of Nghe An citizens abroad.
Comrade Ho Duc Phoc affirmed the important role of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad in the province's foreign affairs. In addition, economic and cultural exchanges with overseas Vietnamese in Nghe An are also one of the proposals and wishes of the province. Effectively exploiting foreign resources and affirming its position are what Nghe An needs to become a fairly developed province as the goal set out in Resolution 26 of the Politburo.
