The working group inspected chicken farming at Mr. Nguyen Cong Duong's household in hamlet 19, Nghi Trung commune. |
Through the inspection and acceptance of the models, the working group of the Livestock Institute assessed: The project has received due attention from the district and commune authorities. The agricultural extension station and the People's Committees of the communes have selected suitable households with land area for grazing, ensuring bio-security, disease prevention, and being far from residential areas to ensure environmental hygiene. Households participating in the project have learned the farming techniques disseminated by the Institute, with a survival rate of over 95%. After 3 months of raising, the average weight of the chickens reached 2kg/chicken. Currently, these 15 households have gradually sold the chickens. With the current market price, each household earns 30 to 50 million VND in profit.
In the coming time, Nghi Loc District People's Committee will mobilize, direct the maintenance and replication of the model after the Project ends to increase income for people in the district.
