Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences works in Con Cuong

(Baonghean) -During the working program in Nghe An, on the morning of April 9, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the working delegation worked in Con Cuong district. Also attending was comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

This is the second survey of the delegation in Nghe An for 3 days from April 7 to April 9. The survey is to implement the cooperation plan between the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Provincial People's Committee on building the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Nghe An province for the period 2015 - 2030 and vision to 2050. At the meeting, Con Cuong district reported on the socio-economic, defense and security results in 2013, some tasks and targets for 2014 as well as difficulties and obstacles affecting the socio-economic development of the district.

The comrades in the working delegation discussed and shared the difficulties and obstacles of the district; at the same time, they requested Con Cuong district to identify its potential and advantages in order to have a plan to build an effective socio-economic development strategy. In particular, the issue of exploiting the potential of forest land, planning to expand the area, building the Con Cuong orange brand as well as the potential of eco-tourism were mentioned by the delegation.
