Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences works in Que Phong district
(Baonghean.vn) - As part of the program to develop the socio-economic development strategy of Nghe An province for the period 2012-2030, with a vision to 2050, on the morning of July 9, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences visited and worked in Que Phong. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department of Science and Technology.
Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Kha Van Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Lu Dinh Thi - Chairman of the District People's Committee and representatives of district-level departments, branches and sectors.

Before the working session, the delegation inspected and surveyed economic models: Quy Chau duck, bamboo and rattan export cooperative in Que Son commune, passion fruit growing model in Tri Le commune.
At the working session, the delegation listened to a quick report on the socio-economic development, national defense and security of Que Phong district in 2013 and the first 6 months of 2014. In 2013, Que Phong district's economy continued to grow well, reaching 27%, shifting the economic structure in the right direction, agricultural and forestry production continued to reap many achievements. The National Target Program on New Rural Construction has added 15 km of road in the second phase, with 3 communes achieving 7/9 new rural criteria: Tien Phong, Muong Noc, Que Son. Speaking at the working session, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated the results that Que Phong district has achieved in recent times, especially in the field of economic development and poverty reduction, with many models bringing high economic efficiency and some potentials and advantages of the district will be researched and collected by the Working Group, as a basis for completing the project to build a socio-economic development strategy for Nghe An in the period 2012-2030 and vision to 2050.
