Vietnam sets date to host VFF Cup 2012

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has set the date to organize the VFF Cup 2012 to kick off the biggest regional tournament, the AFF Cup 2012.

VFF Cup 2012 will take place from October 24-28. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is the latest team invited by VFF to participate in this tournament, along with Turkmenistan and U23 Iran.



Vietnam national football team will have 7 friendly matches before AFF Cup

VFF Cup 2012 will be the first major tournament for the Vietnam national team under head coach Phan Thanh Hung, before he names the team to participate in the AFF Cup at the end of November this year.

Vietnam is one of the teams with high achievements at VFF Cup with 2 titles, equal to Thailand and Uzbekistan.
