Vietnam-Cambodia increase cooperation on social welfare

Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen introduced the Ministry's recent activities in the fields of vocational training, job creation, protection and care of children, war invalids and martyrs, drug rehabilitation, poverty reduction, social security, etc.

Ms. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen said that the meeting between the two Ministries marked good cooperation in the field of social welfare between the two countries and hoped that the two sides would increase practical cooperation activities in the coming time.
Cambodian Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation Ith Sam Heng highly appreciated the results achieved by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and affirmed that these are good experiences for Cambodia in the fields of social affairs, veterans and youth rehabilitation.
On the same day, Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and Minister Ith Sam Heng signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation, exchange information, experience and experts in the fields of child protection, care and education policies; care for war invalids and the elderly; prevention of social evils; poverty reduction and social assistance, in order to enhance understanding of national systems, promote social and sustainable development./.
