Vietnam has first medal at ASIAD 17

Three shooters Hoang Xuan Vinh, Nguyen Hoang Phuong and Tran Quoc Cuong won bronze medals in the men's 50 meter slow-fire pistol team event.

The Chinese team won the gold medal in the men's 50-meter slow-fire pistol event with 1,692 points. The three shooters of Vietnam got 1,670 points, equal to the host team of Korea, but only got the bronze medal due to losing in the secondary index.

Hoang Xuan Vinh and his teammates missed the silver medal at the 17th ASIAD in the final round of shooting.

In the women's 10-meter pistol team event, Vietnam ranked eighth.

In the wushu long punch category, Tran Xuan Hiep ranked fourth with 9.57 points.
