Head of the Referee Board Duong Vu Lam said that the Vietnam Football Federation has completed procedures to register 2 new FIFA referees along with 9 old referees and assistants.

Referee Dinh Van Dung is one of two new faces introduced to register as a FIFA referee for Vietnam.

On September 7 and 8, the Referee Board of the Vietnam Football Federation conducted physical fitness tests as well as other professional indicators for the Vietnamese referee force to prepare for FIFA referee registration. In the list of Vietnamese "Black Shirt Kings" in the FIFA referee "planning" category, there were a few faces who did not pass the test, so their names were crossed out.

According to the head of the referee board, Duong Vu Lam, in this registration round, Vietnam introduced two new faces, referee Nguyen Duc Vu (Binh Thuan) and Dinh Van Dung (Dong Nai). Of these two faces, referee Dinh Van Dung is considered to have the potential to become a leading referee in Vietnam and has the ability to reach the Elite level like referee Vo Minh Tri. However, because he has only been promoted to referee the V-League in recent seasons, referee Dinh Van Dung is considered to lack experience.

To be registered as FIFA referees, both Mr. Vu and Mr. Dung must undergo an examination organized by the Asian Football Confederation. In addition to the two new faces above, Vietnam also re-registered 7 assistants and 3 other FIFA referees. The 3 former FIFA referees of Vietnam are Vo Quang Vinh, Phung Dinh Dung and Vo Minh Tri.
