Vietnam won 6 Silver Medals at the Asian Informatics Olympiad
The Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) has just announced that all 6/6 Vietnamese students participating in the Asian Informatics Olympiad won Silver Medals.
The six students who won Silver Medals include: Do Xuan Viet, a 12th grader at the High School for Gifted Students, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Do Ngoc Khanh, an 11th grader at the High School for Gifted Students, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Nguyen Viet Dung, an 11th grader at the High School for Gifted Students, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Nguyen Phan Quang Minh, a 12th grader at Nguyen Trai High School for Gifted Students, Hai Duong Province; Ngo Hoang Anh Phuc, a 12th grader at the High School for Gifted Students, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Tran Trong Dat, a 12th grader at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students.
According to the medal rankings (unofficial), Vietnam ranked 7th out of 29 participating countries.
This year, the Asian Informatics Olympiad was held online with 29 participating countries. Kazakhstan was the host country. The Vietnamese national team of 15 students competed online at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on May 4, 2014./.
