Vietnam records 39th Covid-19 case, related to passenger on flight VN0054
The 39th Covid-19 case in Vietnam is a tour guide staying in Cau Giay district, Hanoi and had contact with passengers on flight VN0054.
In the evening, the Ministry of Health announced the 39th case of Covid-19 infection in Vietnam.

The patient is a male, born in 1995, a tour guide for Amazing Ninh Binh Company, residing in Dich Vong Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. He had contact with a British tourist on flight VN0054. On the night of March 10, the boarding house where he stayed was disinfected, and the mother and child of the boarding house owner were quarantined.
The patient had a mild fever (37.6 degrees Celsius), no cough, no difficulty breathing, was admitted to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Branch 2, around 9:00 p.m. on March 8 and had samples taken for Covid-19 testing. The patient is currently in stable health and is being isolated and monitored at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Earlier that afternoon, the Binh Thuan Department of Health confirmed three new Covid-19 cases, all related to patient 34 (who returned to Vietnam from the US on February 29).
Thus, the total number of patients infected with the SAR-CoV-2 virus in Vietnam has now reached 39, of which the first 16 cases have been cured and discharged from the hospital. Of the remaining 23 cases, 12 are related to the 17th patient NHN, who traveled to England - France - Italy to Vietnam on flight VN0054.
Localities with Covid-19 cases up to this point are: Vinh Phuc (11); Ho Chi Minh City (4); Khanh Hoa (1); Thanh Hoa (1); Hanoi (5); Ninh Binh (1); Quang Ninh (4); Lao Cai (2); Da Nang (3); Hue (1), Quang Nam (2), Binh Thuan (1).
